Fort Lauderdale is the largest single area in our Broward collection, but it is not the only one. Hollywood, Hallandale Beach and Davie each hold a smaller slice of the same county, close enough to be worth a look if Fort Lauderdale itself does not have the house you need on your dates.

Hollywood, a step south

Hollywood sits south of Fort Lauderdale, in the same county. Our collection includes a handful of houses there. Hollywood's own page has the current list and shows exactly what is confirmed about each house, the same way every area page on this site does.

Hallandale Beach, further south again

Hallandale Beach sits further south still, also in Broward. Our collection holds a house there today. Hallandale Beach's page has the current listing and the bedroom range confirmed for the area.

Davie, inland and different in character

Davie sits inland, away from the coastal areas in the rest of this collection, and has a different character as a result. Our collection holds a house there today. Davie's own page shows what is confirmed for it right now.

A different county than the Miami side

Miami and Fort Lauderdale sit in two different counties, Miami-Dade and Broward, and Hollywood, Hallandale Beach and Davie are all on the Broward side along with Fort Lauderdale itself. That matters less for the drive between them and more for keeping the geography straight when you're comparing houses: a house in Hollywood is not a Miami house with a different name on it, and it is not interchangeable with a house in, say, Miami Beach or Coral Gables on the other side of the county line. Each area page on this site states its own municipality plainly, rather than defaulting to whichever city name is more familiar.

Why these three are worth checking

If Fort Lauderdale itself does not have the bedroom count or the open dates your group needs, these three areas sit close by in the same county and are worth checking before you widen your search further out, or assume the county does not have what you want. None of the three is a direct substitute for Fort Lauderdale, since each has its own character and its own smaller set of houses, but all three are real options that already exist in the collection today rather than areas we simply say we serve.

Compare them side by side, then read for character

Our area guide already puts Hollywood, Hallandale Beach and Davie next to Fort Lauderdale and the rest of the collection in one table, with the current house count, bedroom range and rate range for each. That table is the fastest way to compare the numbers, and it stays current in a way an article like this one does not. What it does not show is the character difference between the three: Hollywood and Hallandale Beach both sit on the coast, on the same stretch of Broward shoreline as Fort Lauderdale itself, while Davie sits inland with a different feel. If your group cares about being near the beach specifically, that split matters more than the numbers do.

Widen the search gradually, not all at once

If none of the four Broward pages, Fort Lauderdale included, has what your group needs, the more useful next step is usually checking a couple of the Miami-Dade areas rather than giving up on the search entirely. The two counties sit close enough together that a house on one side of the line is rarely an unreasonable option for a group that started out looking on the other side, especially once you weigh it against how many houses you actually have to choose from.

Common questions

Frequently asked

Are Hollywood, Hallandale Beach and Davie part of Fort Lauderdale?

No. Each is its own municipality in Broward County, near Fort Lauderdale but administratively separate from it.

Which of these areas has the most houses in the collection?

That changes as the collection changes. Each area's own page shows the current count and bedroom range, which is more reliable than a number printed in an article.

What do these three areas have in common?

All three are Broward County municipalities near Fort Lauderdale, and each currently holds a smaller slice of the collection than Fort Lauderdale itself.
